Dr. Morrill was born and raised in Colorado, where he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He continued his studies at the University of Southern California, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree with top honors, and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
As an active member in the orthodontic community, Dr. Morrill belongs to the American Association of Orthodontics, the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. He is also on the staff of the Plastic Surgery Department at Stanford University Medical School, where he is an orthodontic consultant with the Craniofacial Anomalies team. In addition, he is on the dental staff of the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.
Dr. Morrill has been a member of the dental faculty of the Georgetown University Dental School in Washington D.C., the University of California San Francisco Dental School Orthodontic Department, and the University of the Pacific Dental School Orthodontic Department in San Francisco. He has also been on the dental staff of the Oakland Children's Hospital teaching the pedodontic residents about orthodontics. He has served as an orthodontic consultant and lecturer for the General Practice Residency Programs at the V.A. Hospitals in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
Dr. Morrill has had extensive experience over many years, having seen more than 9,000 patients representing every type of orthodontic problem. He is particularly interested in working with complex orthodontic problems associated with cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial anomalies. He has traveled to various developing countries with teams treating patients with cleft lip and palate.
He welcomes patients of all ages and in all stages of dental development, from young children to mature adults. He is well-versed in all phases of orthodontic treatment.
He and his wife, Judi have a son and a daughter and two grandchildren. He is an avid reader, an extensive world traveler, and loves to exercise.
